Meet Our Management Team
Craig A. Clayton
Craig A. Clayton, CPA, is the President of Clayton & Clayton, P.C. Since the firm was established in 1987, Mr. Clayton has helped his clients take advantage of hundreds of millions of dollars in tax savings by applying the use of ever changing Texas tax codes relating to crude oil and natural gas producers.

Mr. Clayton worked for Ernst & Whinney prior to starting Clayton & Clayton, PC. His wife, Sally, was his partner until her retirement in 2018, providing Federal tax services. Amy Clayton Parrish, CPA, is their daughter, and has worked with the firm for three years after working for EY.

Mr. Clayton is a member of the Texas Oil and Gas Association and provides industry state tax data to the Association that is utilized to advocate for the oil and gas industry through legislative action. He is also a member of Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association and Independent Petroleum Association of America. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Council of Petroleum Accounting Society, and Texas Taxpayers and Research Association.

Mr. Clayton has served as the President of the Alamo Heights Independent School District Board of Trustees and Treasurer of the Alamo Heights School Foundation. He served as President of Alamo Kiwanis Club of San Antonio and as an advisor to the University of Texas Energy Management Program and on the Board of Visitors of McDonald Observatory. He and his wife, Sally, have also been involved with supporting the Grand Canyon Conservancy organization that raises funds and awareness for Grand Canyon National Park.
Amy Clayton Parrish
Amy Clayton Parrish, CPA, joined the firm in 2016, after working in Houston at EY on various public audits. During her time in public accounting, she worked solely on oil & gas clients, including service providers and producers. She participated in and developed first-year audits, corporate tax walk-throughs and control testing, debt offerings, extensive impairment testing, and reserve testing.

Ms. Parrish earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Computer Science from Washington and Lee University as well as her Masters in Professional Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Amy's husband is a pilot with the United States Air Force.
